Vietnam’s village tourist site, after 15 years living far from his homeland, Dang Xuan Nghia, a 60 year-old overseas Vietnamese, decided to come back and invest in a tourist site named “Vietnam’s Village” which depicts the life of Vietnamese farmers during the 19th and 20th centuries.
Working from his childhood memories in Dai Loc, Quang Nam Province, Dang Xuan Nghia established the tourist site by the Hoai River near the Cam Nam Bridge in Hoi An Vietnam in September 2005.
Coming here, visitors will have a chance to learn more about the villages in Vietnam and see many of the labour intense activities of farmers in the old days.
They will be surprised at and very interested in watching artisans making pottery utensils from clay, making conical hats and decorative multi-coloured lanterns, whittling wooden clogs, weaving mats, farming, catching fish, etc.

Furthermore, they can try doing some of the work themselves, such as spinning, working the bellows and blowing on the fire to hammer farming tools, etc. Here, the visitors can stay in well-furnished rooms and enjoy many local specialities cooked by artisans in Quang Nam.
Besides cultural features of the Cham, Japanese and Chinese people in Hoi An Vietnam, a World Culture Heritage Site, the tourist site “Vietnam’s Village” helps tourists have a general view on Vietnam and its wet-rice culture in the past.
